NSQDMH Accredited Services

The Commission's register of NSQDMH accredited services lists the Australian digital mental health service providers that have achieved an accreditation status of "Accredited" or "Working towards accreditation". 

The register is updated on a monthly basis with assessments that were completed in the prior month – for example, a service who is assessed and accredited on 10 June will appear on the register in July.

Digital mental health services providers seeking accreditation to the NSQDMH Standards must go through a rigorous assessment process. They are required to demonstrate evidence to an independent accrediting agency on how they are meeting the actions required. 

Accreditation to the NSQDMH Standards means that a digital mental health service has addressed:

• The Clinical and Technical Governance Standard, which describes the clinical and technical governance, safety and quality systems, workforce qualifications and skills, and the safe environment (including privacy, transparency, cybersecurity and stability of digital systems) that are required to maintain and improve the reliability, safety and quality of digital mental health care, and improve health outcomes for service users.
• The Partnering with Consumers Standard, which describes the systems and strategies to create a person-centred digital mental health system in which service users, and where relevant their support people, receive:
  • included in shared or supported decision-making
  • partners in their own care
  • involved in the development and design of quality digital mental health care.
• The Model of Care Standard, which describes the processes for establishing and delivering the model of care, minimising harm, communicating for safety, and recognising and responding to acute deterioration in mental state.

Outcomes from assessments

After assessing a digital mental health service to the NSQDMH Standards, the independent accrediting agency completes a detailed report and the service provider will receive one of three outcomes or statuses:

Accreditation Badge

Accredited service providers are authorised to display a digital accreditation badge for their service(s). The badge confirms to service users that the service meets the safety and quality requirements of the NSQDMH Standards.

The NSQDMH accreditation badge is only awarded for services that meet all applicable actions and are deemed 'Accredited'.
