RFT 241/0708 - Improved Learning from Patient Safety Incidents – Identification of key lessons learned from incident information in the areas of clinical handover and patient identification

Request For Tender (RFT) 241/0708

Applications are sought from respondents to draw together information from participating States, Territories and private hospital providers from individual de-identified incident reports and investigations in the areas of clinical handover and patient identification. The project will also require the development of a methodology to review and undertake this analysis.

The project has been developed as part of an overall strategy to improve learning from information about patient safety incidents. The initial focus on clinical handover and patient identification relate to priority areas of work for the Commission.

It is proposed that work on will commence in April 2008.

Parties interested in tendering must address the evaluation criteria in the format outlined in the Request For Tender document, available in the first instance by registering on the Department's internet site at www.health.gov.au/tenders.
