Applications are sought from respondents to draw together information from participating States, Territories and private hospital providers from individual de-identified incident reports and investigations in the areas of clinical handover and patient identification. The project will also require the development of a methodology to review and undertake this analysis.The project has been developed as part of an overall strategy to improve learning from information about patient safety incidents. The initial focus on clinical handover and patient identification relate to priority areas of work for the Commission.
It is proposed that work on will commence in April 2008.
