This site was created for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care to assist Australian health clinicians, researchers, health providers in all sectors and the general public to search for information on safety and quality in health care. It provides links to freely available internet resources that seek to help close the evidence - practice gap.
Australian health libraries can provide further assistance. For example, the Health Libraries Australia Group of the Australian Libraries Information Association (ALIA).
In the USA, the National Network of Libraries of Medicine play an important role in health information provision. In the UK there is NHS Evidence which includes a library function. In Canada, the Canadian Health Libraries Association has been an advocate for the need to form a National Network of Libraries for Health.
