Dr Celia Cooper

Celia Cooper is currently the Clinical Director of Pathology and Head of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Children’s Youth and Women’s Health Service in Adelaide, SA. Her areas of interest include public health, infection prevention and control, antibiotic resistance and stewardship and infections in pregnant women, neonates and children. She established and managed a state-wide hospital acquired infection surveillance and control program and a national antibiotic usage surveillance program. She currently serves on several national committees related to infection control and antibiotic resistance.
