Marilyn Cruickshank

Marilyn is a registered nurse working in paediatrics for most of her career; initially in paediatric intensive care. During the early 1990s Marilyn worked as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in paediatric HIV where she gained some experience in infection control issues within hospitals and in the community. During her time as a doctoral student she lectured at Sydney universities, worked in various research positions and managed a program to implement 12 paediatric guidelines into NSW emergency departments. At the present time, Marilyn is a Policy Manager with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care overseeing a National Healthcare Associated Infection Program.
