Rosie currently holds the position of Coordinator, Infection Prevention & Management at Royal Perth Hospital, WA. She is a registered nurse and completed her Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 1995. She has 17 years extensive experience in infection, prevention, surveillance and control at a large tertiary hospital.
In 2004 she was seconded on a part time basis to develop the post graduate certificate in Infection Control course in partnership with the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Curtin University of Technology and is the current coordinator of the course. She is also a guest lecturer on the RN pre-registration courses at Curtin University. Rosie is actively involved with the Infection Control Nurses Association of WA and has just recently completed 2 terms (2004-2008) of office as President. She remains actively involved in ICAWA and is on the AICA 2010 national Conference Organising Committee.
She has co-authored several articles for both Australian and International Medical Journals and has presented at national and international conferences. She was recently appointed on the AICA Credentialing Committee in 2008 and is currently on the HAI Implementation Advisory Committee of the Australian Commission on Safety & Quality in Health Care.
