Information Strategy Publications

The Commission's Information Strategy (PDF 250 KB) outlines how the Commission will lead and coordinate the improvement of information and data collection to advance safety and quality. The Information Strategy contains four streams of work, each comprising a suite of projects which will be carried out collaboratively with stakeholders and experts. The Strategy is an evolving document and comments are welcome.

A "pocket" version of the Information Strategy (PDF 32 KB) is also available for viewing or download.


Australian Clinical Quality Registries

Information on the Operating Principles and Technical Standards for Australian Clinical Quality Registries (including submissions) is currently available on the main "Programs - Information Strategy " web page.


The Core Maternity Indicators Project

The Core Maternity Indicators Project report was prepared by Women's Hospitals Australasia, with funding from the the Australian Council on Safety and Quality in Health Care.

Responsibility for the Maternity Indicators Project has been transferred to the Maternity Services Inter-Jurisdictional Committee.

Help with accessing large documents

When accessing large documents (over 500 KB in size), it is recommended that the following procedure be used:

  1. Click the link with the RIGHT mouse button
  2. Choose "Save Target As.../Save Link As..." depending on your browser
  3. Select an appropriate folder on a local drive to place the downloaded file

Attempting to open large documents within the browser window (by left-clicking) may inhibit your ability to continue browsing while the document is opening and/or lead to system problems.

Help with accessing PDF documents

Get Acrobat ReaderTo view PDF (Portable Document Format) documents, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat reader installed on your computer. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free of charge from Adobe's website.
