The Medicine and Medical Device Alerts and Advisories Portal (the Portal) was established by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) for the sharing of Medicine and Medical Device Alerts and Advisories between State and Territory health authorities.

Each State or Territory authority which uploads information to the Portal is responsible for the content of that information.

The Commission is not responsible for the accuracy, currency or completeness of information accessed via the Portal, and does not review, validate or otherwise exercise quality control over Portal content. The Commission gives no warranty with respect to the accuracy, currency or completeness of, and disclaims all liability for loss or damage arising out of use of or reliance on, information uploaded by a State or Territory to the Portal.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) is responsible under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 for providing alerts, adverse event reports and recall notifications associated with Medicines and Medical Devices in Australia. Alerts and Advisories provided via the Portal are intended to complement, but not to substitute for, limit or qualify, materials published by the TGA.
