The Assessor Orientation Course is freely available for anyone who would like to learn about the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (second edition). The online course is self-paced, contains 11 modules and includes about 40 hours of valuable learning material including case studies, videos and tips for using the NSQHS Standards.

If you are an assessor of health services implementing the NSQHS Standards: You are required to complete the whole course, and your responses to quizzes and other questions will be collected and monitored by the Commission. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course. A copy of the certificate of completion must be provided to your accrediting agency before you are eligible to assess a health service organisation using the NSQHS Standards (second edition).

If you are not an assessor, and would like a certificate of completion for the course: You will need to complete the whole course, including completing quizzes and short answer questions. However, your responses will not be monitored by the Commission. You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

If you are not an assessor and would NOT like a certificate of completion for the course: You will be able to move through the course without submitting answers to quizzes, in any order without having to accurately complete each of the assessment tasks.
