Description

The List of Excluded Medicinal Items includes medicines and non-medicinal items which are exempt from active ingredient prescribing requirements has been developed to support prescribers. For example, products containing four or more active ingredients should be prescribed by brand name only, as it is more practical and safer to do so.

The List of Excluded Medicinal Items and the List of Medicines for Brand Consideration are supplemental to the Active Ingredient Prescribing User Guide.
