The purpose of this tool is to allow cancer services to review the uptake of clinical governance roles and responsibilities by their medical oncologists, haematologists, nurses, pharmacists and managers working in its cancer care areas.
This document summarises medicines being investigated to treat COVID-19. Medicines where there is emerging evidence against COVID-19 are described. There is a lack of robust evidence on specific treatment options for COVID-19 and any proposed therapies are considered experimental at this stage.
Quality Use of Medicines and Medicines Safety was made the 10th National Health Priority Area in 2019 by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Health Council. This discussion paper has been developed to support public consultation for the national baseline report on Quality Use of Medicines and Medicines Safety. Phase 1 of the report focuses on polypharmacy, use of antipsychotic medicines and transitions of care in the aged care setting.
