On 30 November 2020, the Commission announced the introduction of Australia's first National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health (NSQDMH) Standards.

On 23 November 2022, the Commission released the first National Safety and Quality Mental Health Standards for Community Managed Organisations (NSQMH Standards for CMOs).

With 1 in 5 adults experiencing a common mental health disorder in 2020-21, the standards are a significant step in providing safety and quality assurance for consumers, their families and carers.
