NCTGF consultation for NSQHS Standards (third edition)
The Commission is engaging in consultations in October and November 2025 to inform the development of the NCTGF and align with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards (third edition). Find out how to get involved and have your say.
The aim of the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF) is to embed clinical trial services into routine health care provision to enhance safety and quality standards and health outcomes for the community. The NCTGF aligns with the Commission’s National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards (second edition).
In June 2025 the Commission announced the development of the third edition of the NSQHS Standards. This presents an opportunity to refine and improve the actions that apply to the NCTGF.
Initial consultations are being held in October and November 2025. The Commission seeking input from the sector ensure the next edition is relevant, evidence-based, responsive to emerging challenges and innovations, outcomes focussed and can be integrated into routine health service organisation activities.
