Have your say – third edition consultation closing soon

The Commission is seeking initial feedback by 30 September 2025, from health services, clinicians, clinical experts, consumers, peak bodies and Australian Government, state and territory health departments.

You can shape the development of the third edition of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is developing the NSQHS Standards (third edition) to improve patient care into the future.

Since July, we have been undertaking broad public consultation to inform the development of the NSQHS Standards (third edition), in collaboration with the healthcare system and community representatives.

The Commission is seeking initial feedback by 30 September 2025, from health services, clinicians, clinical experts, consumers, peak bodies and Australian Government, state and territory health departments.

Our goal is to ensure the next edition of the standards is relevant, evidence-based, responsive to emerging challenges and innovations in health care, outcomes focussed and can be integrated into health service organisation activities.
