New resources are now available to support health services and assessor agencies with implementation and assessment to the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF).

Incident Management fact sheet

The Commission has developed a new fact sheet on Incident Management to provide guidance on how incidents arising in clinical trials are identified, reported and managed in Health Service Organisations (HSOs).

The new fact sheet includes examples of clinical trial incidents to be reported in the HSO incident management system. It can help HSOs understand the requirements of Actions in the NCTGF related to incident management, such as Action 1.11.

National dashboard

The Commission has launched a national dashboard of assessment outcomes data for the NCTGF. The dashboard provides an indicator to the sector on the progress of implementation of the NCTGF.

The dashboard includes:

  • an aggregation of assessment outcomes data against the maturity scale
  • the number of health services registered by their jurisdictions for assessment of their clinical trial service, plus those who have completed assessments to the NCTGF
  • a section with responses to key issues (i.e. Incident Management)
  • a feedback survey to help the Commission identify opportunities for future resource development.
