The NSQMH Standards for CMOs provide safety and quality assurance for consumers, their families and carers, and best practice guidance for community managed service providers.
The primary aims of the NSQMH Standards for CMOs are to protect the public from harm and to continuously improve the quality of service provision. The NSQMH Standards for CMOs will provide a nationally consistent statement about the level of care consumers, families and carers can expect from a community managed mental health service. They will also provide a quality assurance mechanism, which tests whether relevant safety and quality systems are in place.
