Use of standard and transmission-based precautions
This resource provides an overview of the types of personal protective equipment (PPE) used and patient placement requirements for standard precautions and for transmission-based precautions. A local risk assessment should always be undertaken to determine the most appropriate PPE and patient placement for the delivery of care.
