The public consultation period took place from 18 December 2013 to 14 March 2014. A total of 80 responses were received by the Commission as part of this consultation process.

This fact sheet highlights key findings from AURA 2023 and information about antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), to support pharmacists working across primary and acute care settings.

Antibiograms are tables of antimicrobial susceptibilities compiled according to a specific set of standards. The information provided supports clinicians working with their local antimicrobial stewardship teams to improve clinical practice in regard to infections. 

This report provides analyses of antimicrobials supplied under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and Repatriation PBS in 2023, and trends from 2015. The report highlights antimicrobial use in aged care and by local area.

On 27 August 2021, the Commission released the Fourth Australian report on antimicrobial use and resistance in human health (AURA 2021).
