The Commission is pleased to announce the release of the Aged Care Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Guide.

Today the Commission has released a revised Osteoarthritis of the Knee Clinical Care Standard (2024), offering the latest guidance on how to proactively manage the condition to ease symptoms, including pain, joint stiffness and reduced mobility.

For more than a million Australians who live with pain and disability from osteoarthritis of the knee, surgery is often seen as an inevitable magic bullet.

The Commission, with an expert Advisory Group, has been revising the Framework for Australian Clinical Quality Registries (the Framework).

The consultation is open until Friday 4 October 2024.

Today the Commission has released national trend data in a new report suggesting that women may be turning from hysterectomy to less invasive treatments for heavy menstrual bleeding, a condition that affects one in four Australian women.
