The Commission is updating the 2017 National Guidelines for On-Screen Presentation of Discharge Summaries (the Guidelines). The Guidelines aim to improve the presentation of discharge summaries prepared and shared electronically. They provide recommendations on the clinical content and layout of information that should be contained within a discharge summary, thereby improving the overall safety and quality of patients' continuity of care.
Consultation submission has now closed and the review is underway.
