The Australian Group on Antimicrobial Resistance (AGAR) annually publishes data on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and epidemiologic and genetic patterns in bloodstream infections in Australia, relating to three main organisms: enterococcal species, Staphylococcus aureus and gram-negative bacteria.

In 2018, the Commission commenced work on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health (the Department) and all states and territories to deliver the Governance Framework.
