Medicines management
Throughout 2020, the Commission developed and maintained a set of resources that provided guidance to health professionals and health service organisations on medicines management during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work has since been taken over by the National COVID-19 Clinical Evidence Taskforce. Please refer to their website for national, evidence-based guidelines for the clinical care of people with COVID-19.
Cognitive impairment care
During COVID-19, people with cognitive impairment may find hospital more frightening than usual. The Commission has developed advice to support health service organisations in providing safe care for people with cognitive impairment.
The Commission acknowledges the contribution of people with dementia, carers, clinicians and researchers in developing these new resources.
