Register of accredited general practices and Aboriginal Medical Services

For general practices without physical premises, the street address is not included in the register. This is because clinical assessments of patients are conducted externally, such as within residential aged care facilities.

The register is updated on a monthly basis with assessments that were completed in the prior month – for example, a general practice that is assessed and accredited on 10 June will appear on the register in July.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care cannot use or distribute information collected under the National General Practice Accreditation (NGPA) Scheme for purposes other than the NGPA Scheme. Consent provided by general practices for data collection under the NGPA Scheme does not include permission for the Commission to distribute information to entities that are not directly related to, or addressed under, the NGPA Scheme. Accordingly, the Commission is not able to provide digital copies of the register.
