Standards and accreditation updates

From 1 January 2024 the Commission will standardise requirements for repeat assessments for general practices under the NGPA Scheme.

To clarify for approved accrediting agencies and general practices the responsibilities and processes to be adhered to when a general practice transfers between accrediting agencies during its current accreditation cycle.

To clarify the requirements for general practices to be accredited to the RACGP Standards for point-of-care testing (5th edition) outlined by the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and the RACGP.
