Practice Reflections
Practice Reflections are personalised reports that provide confidential information for individual Australian General Practitioners (GPs) on their Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) prescribing or Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS tests) in specific clinical areas.
Overview
Practice Reflections reports are distributed directly to Australian GPs and build on the former Practice Review Program delivered by NPS MedicineWise.
Each report focuses on prescribing practices or diagnostic tests and referrals for a specific clinical area and is designed to support clinician-initiated professional development and quality improvement.
What is included:
- Background information around the clinical area of focus
- Individual GP dispensing data for PBS medicines or utilisation of MBS tests, along with changes of over time
- Aggregate data of GPs working in similar practices across Australia for comparison
- Evidence-based resources and points of reflection, to support self-reported CPD activity
- Alignment to Clinical Care Standards, Atlas Focus Reports, MedicineInsight and other relevant Commission programs and products
