National Clinical Trials Governance Framework
The National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF) provides a set of safety and quality standards to embed clinical trials into routine health service provision and strengthen the clinical and corporate governance arrangements for health service organisations (HSOs) that deliver a clinical trial service.
Consultation closed
The NCTGF consultation for the NSQHS Standards (third edition) is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the consultation via attendance at a session, answering the survey or submitting a written response. Your feedback is much appreciated and is now being analysed to inform the first draft of the NSQHS Standards (third edition). This draft will be released for review and comment in the next stage of consultations in 2026.

To support the delivery of high-quality clinical trial services the Commission has developed the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework on behalf of all jurisdictions in collaboration with the Australian Government Department of Health.
