The Commission is developing a Clinical Care Standard for Emergency Laparotomy. A topic working group has been convened to provide input and guidance throughout the development of the Standard. Public consultation on a draft Standard will be held in late 2025. The Emergency Laparotomy Clinical Care Standard is due to be released in 2026.
