Today the Commission has released a new Atlas Focus Report examining care for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The report highlights important trends and variation in two critical aspects of care: spirometry and prescribing of COPD long-acting inhalers.

Australians living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are being exposed to greater health risks as the use of a critical diagnostic test has fallen dramatically, according to a new national report released today by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
