We are excited to introduce the new GP Snapshot on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Pharmacological Management.
This concise, two-page resource highlights aggregate results of all participating MedicineInsight practices. It provides essential data and practical insights to support GPs with pharmacological management of COPD.
What's in the GP Snapshot?
- National data highlights on reported rates – antibiotic prescribing and the use of mono, dual, and triple therapy in COPD
- Key Practice Points – including antibiotic prescribing and Stepwise Management of COPD
Designed specifically for general practitioners, this Snapshot offers actionable data to enhance patient care and outcomes, building on the COPD Clinical Care Standard released in October 2024.
Join the MedicineInsight program
MedicineInsight is a free national program designed to enhance the quality of primary care in Australia. General practices participating in the program receive customised Practice Reports that show their practice results alongside aggregate data of all participating MedicineInsight practices nationwide and include actionable recommendations aligned to best practice.
Complete this form and the MedicineInsight team will be in touch.
Practice Reports and GP Reports
Participating practices and GPs will soon receive a personalised Practice Report: COPD Pharmacological Management.
If GPs from participating practices would like to receive an individual GP Report, please return the completed GP consent form or view the information sheet for more details.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Quality Improvement Guide
A CPD Guide that supports quality improvement activities on COPD Pharmacological Management will also be sent with the next Practice Report. These activities include a guided template which can earn up to 15 CPD hours for GPs. A CPD Guide will be developed for all future Practice Reports and will be available on our website.
