National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards Consultation

The Commission is undertaking a consultation on the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging (NSQMI) Standards. These standards will replace the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards.

The Consultation on the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards has now transitioned to Stage 2. The Commission is now receiving feedback the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards and implementation resource through online forums.
 

Overview

The Commission is revising the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards and has developed draft National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging (NSQMI) Standards.
 

Stage 2 – Focus Groups

The Commission is conducting consumer and stakeholder focus groups that will last approximately 1.5 hours. The purpose of the focus groups is to explore the issues and themes identified from the surveys and written and verbal feedback.

The Commission is seeking feedback on the;

Implementation resource - Draft National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards

The draft NSQMI Standards and Implementation Resource include reflective questions, suggested strategies, examples of evidence and useful resources. While the draft NSQMI Standards only contains the standards. It is your choice which resource to provide feedback on.

Consumers can register their interest in attending a focus group by emailing their name and phone number to the Commission, diagnosticimaging@safetyandquality.gov.au.

Professional and industry groups, imaging practitioners and practice providers select a session below and register their attendance.
