The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care is seeking your feedback on the next stage of refining the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS).
Thank you to all who gave feedback on the proposed changes to the DIAS in 2025.
The Commission is undertaking a consultation on the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging (NSQMI) Standards. These standards will replace the Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme Standards.
The Consultation on the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards has now transitioned to Stage 2. The Commission is now receiving feedback the National Safety and Quality Medical Imaging Standards and implementation resource through online forums.
The Commission will analyse the feedback received during the consultation period and continue to work with stakeholders on the development of the ASQMIA Scheme.

The Director is responsible for leading the program’s development and implementation within the Commission in line with this strategic direction. The Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the Leadership team, the Director provides strategic advice and leadership for the development and delivery of their program within the Commission’s approved work plan and will support the achievement of Commission priorities and programs regarding safety and quality in health care.
In September 2024, the Commission undertook a public consultation seeking feedback on the draft Standards.
