Acute Coronary Syndromes Clinical Care Standard Review

The Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) Clinical Care Standard was first published in 2014 and last reviewed in 2019. It describes the care a patient should expect to receive when presenting with suspected or confirmed ACS, from the prehospital setting through to secondary prevention.

The Commission has commenced a review of the Standard to ensure it reflects current best practice and focuses on areas where improvement is most needed for patients.

This consultation seeks early feedback to guide the priorities and direction of the revised Standard.

For clinicians, quality professionals and clinical leaders

We are seeking input from clinicians and quality professionals involved in ACS care across the full care pathway, including paramedics, emergency clinicians, cardiologists, nurses, general practitioners, cardiac rehabilitation clinicians, and those in quality improvement, data, or health service management roles.

All responses are valued, including from those who are not familiar with the ACS Clinical Care Standard.

Complete the clinician survey

The survey takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Please ensure you have sufficient time to complete it in one session.

For organisations

Organisations involved in ACS care, including peak bodies, professional colleges and societies, clinical quality registries, consumer organisations, research institutes, and ambulance services have been invited to complete a separate organisational survey.

If your organisation has a role in care for people with suspected or confirmed ACS and you believe it should have received an invitation, please get in touch using the contact details below.

Help share the clinician survey with your members or networks

A campaign kit is available for any organisation, clinical network or health service involved in ACS care to promote the clinician survey to their members or networks.

The kit contains ready-to-use materials, including:
