These confidential reports have been coordinated by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) through Services Australia and are based on PBS data, highlighting dispensing of COPD medicines in patients aged 35 years and above.
The reports are part of a free, self-directed quality improvement initiative by the Commission and are not an audit. The data is only available to the individual GP receiving the report and cannot be accessed by the Commission or anyone else.
Key benefits for GPs include:
- Quality improvement through a review of individual COPD medicines data
- Reflective learning to improve patient outcomes through alignment with best practice pharmacological management of COPD
- Gain 2 accredited CPD hours for time spent reviewing the report.
