National Safety and Quality Assisted Reproductive Technology Service Standards Consultation
Public consultation now open
We are seeking feedback on the initial draft of the National Safety and Quality Assisted Reproductive Technology Service Standards, including whether they:
- reflect key safety and quality priorities
- clearly describe expectations for assisted reproductive technology (ART) providers
- support the delivery of high-quality care
- are clear, easy to understand and free from unnecessary duplication
- adequately cover safety and quality concerns in ART.
We encourage you to review the consultation draft of the ART Standards before providing feedback.
The consultation is open from Monday 10 August until Sunday 6 September 2026.
Next steps
Following the consultation, we will:
- Review and analyse the survey feedback
- Use the feedback to inform the scope and priorities of the Standard
- Update the Standard with input from our Assisted Reproductive Technology Industry Advisory Group
- Seek targeted feedback on the draft revised Standards
- Release the final Standards in 2027 for piloting with the ART sector.
