Review of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Care Standard
We are seeking feedback on the Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Clinical Care Standard (the Standard) to assess whether it still reflects current best practice and remains focused on areas where improvement is needed.
Your feedback will help us determine priorities for updating the Standard, if required.
The Standard was first published in 2014, with major revisions undertaken in 2020 to align with the updated evidence sources and contemporary AMS models of care.
Share your feedback
We are inviting feedback on the AMS Clinical Care Standard (2020).
We are seeking input from clinicians, quality managers and clinical and service leaders involved in AMS.
All responses are valued, including from those who are not familiar with the current Standard.
This survey takes approximately 25-30 minutes to complete.
The survey closes on Friday 30 October 2026.
The Commission is also writing to organisations involved in AMS, including peak bodies, professional colleges and societies, to obtain their feedback on the Standard.
Please contact the Clinical Care Standards team if you would like to know more.
About Clinical Care Standards
Clinical Care Standards support the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based care across Australia. Each Standard includes a small number of quality statements describing key aspects of care where improvement can lead to better outcomes, and indicators to support monitoring and quality improvement.
