Originally published in 2018 with a minor update in 2020, the Standard has an important role in supporting safe, high-quality care for patients at risk of VTE across Australia.
As part of this review, we are seeking input about the current Standard from clinicians, quality managers, and clinical and service leaders involved in VTE prevention.

We invite you to complete a short survey by Friday, 31 July 2026 to share your experience of VTE prevention and care, including:
- current clinical practice
- priorities for updating the Standard
- data collection and use.
Your feedback will help ensure the updated Standard is relevant, practical and aligned with contemporary care.
We encourage you to share this survey with colleagues and networks to help us gather broad clinical perspectives.
