Heavy Menstrual Bleeding CCS Campaign

-

This communications kit supports the release of the Women’s Health Focus Report and revised Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Clinical Care Standard on 13 June 2024.

Show your support for our Women’s Health: Heavy Menstrual Bleeding campaign by downloading and sharing the content on your website, social networks or within your health service.

You are encouraged to use these resources to promote data findings in the Women’s Health Focus Report and best practice care in the revised Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Clinical Care Standard.

Our efforts aim to improve care for women with this condition – which can have a substantial impact on a woman's quality of life – to ensure they can make an informed choice about the most appropriate treatment for their individual situation.

Women’s Health Focus Report

The Women’s Health Focus Report examines two procedures commonly used for heavy menstrual bleeding – hysterectomy and the less invasive option of endometrial ablation. The Report uses interactive maps and graphs to show trends at national, state and territory, Primary Health Network and local area levels.

Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Clinical Care Standard

The updated Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Clinical Care Standard (2024) was developed by the Commission, in partnership with health service organisations, clinicians and consumers. See which organisations have endorsed the Standard.
