This service model framework has been developed to support the states, territories and the private sector in developing services for transvaginal mesh complications and mesh removal services. Clinical care pathways, models of care, and workforce considerations also inform the development of service models and service delivery.

A number of key components of the model of care and service delivery have been determined following consultation with the states and territories, and consumers, and with consideration of the issues reported by women who have received services in relation to transvaginal mesh implantation, treatment for complications; and/or removal of the mesh.
