National Model Clinical Governance Framework
The purpose of this guide is to provide a consistent national framework for clinical governance that is based on the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
The 2017 National Model Clinical Governance Framework is a legacy document that is available for reference only. It has been replaced by the 2026 National Model for Clinical Governance (national model).
Health services should use the 2026 national model when next reviewing their clinical governance arrangements.
