These principles for the provision of direct to consumer genetic tests are based on the United Kingdom (UK) Genetics Commissions Direct-to-Consumer Principles Framework having been adapted for the Australian context. This document provides guidance for providers of Direct to Consumer Genetic Testing with the aim of ensuring the quality of services and the safety of clients. This document is the second revision of the Guiding Principles for Direct to Consumer Genetic Tests and was published in 2014.
